ERIK OLSON
Owner, CPA
Erik was born and raised in Wadena, MN. He graduated from WDC and went on to attend St. Cloud State University, where he obtained his Bachelor of Science in Accounting. From there Erik moved back to his home town and began his career working for Charles Rowe. In 2012 Erik completed the CPA exam, and became a licensed CPA. Erik has over 17 years of experience, and has owned his own practice since 2012. He prides himself on providing quality work coupled with outstanding customer service. Erik's wife Heather also has a bachelors degree in accounting and is the current Auditor/Treasurer of Wadena County. They got married in 2010 and they now have 3 beautiful children, Alexis their oldest and the twins Parker and Paige. Erik’s favorite thing to do in his off time is spend time with his Family while relaxing at home. He also is an avid hunter who enjoys spending time outside working on his hunting land & farming.
LYNN OLSON
Office Manager
Lynn has been with the firm since 1974 under several owners, Erik being the current one (yes, Lynn is Erik's mom). Her responsibilities include bookkeeping, partnership & corporate tax returns, customer service, and as the Mom of the office she keeps everything running smoothly. Lynn grew up on a farm near Hewitt, MN. She is now the proud mom of three grown boys and five grandkids. In her free time Lynn enjoys spending time at the lake, fishing, and cheering on the Minnesota Vikings!
KRISTI VANROEKEL
Staff Accountant
Kristi has worked for Erik J Olson CPA, Ltd since Erik purchased the business in 2012. She earned her 2-year accounting degree from Wadena Vocational Technical Institute in 1987. Since then she has held several positions in the accounting field including accounts receivable, accounts payable, purchasing agent, and now works for Erik as a Staff Accountant specializing in payroll. Kristi has two grown daughters who both live in the Twin Cities, and her husband works at Trident Seafoods in Motley, MN. During her time off she enjoys reading, riding motorcycle and watching football.

Barb is our tax season receptionist. She is the friendly face to greet you and assist you during our busy season.
ROCKY
Mascot
Rocky is our team mascot. He joined us in January of 2019. Rocky likes to greet clients, and take long naps under Erik's desk. His tax return training has been slow, but his ability to steal chairs is strong.
